Great random find while exploring Nara. The ambience is warm and welcoming. It feels like being invited around to your friends house. The beignets were light fluffy and flavoursome, and my only regret was only ordering 3.

Quintessence of relaxed japanese/french. A nice reprieve from the heat and walk. A very cool, peaceful cafe. Husband and wife team. Delicious beignets. Great flavours. Beautiful drinks. Do yourself a favor, detour here.

Chanced upon it while wandering around Nara. This place is not in the main nara tourist area but is definitely worth the trip. Beignets is a type of french pastry, and I found out it’s so elegantly delicious. I ordered the original beignets and coffee black (caffeine free) which goes perfectly well with the pastry). The cafe is small, retro and cozy (seatings 12 only). Owned by a lovely friendly couple. Cash only. Highly recommended.

a fantastic little cafe near Nara Park. very friendly staff who are happy and spread warmth. delicious cold drinks that they make on site. The pastries are baked to order and are absolutely top class. Try them with freshly grated coconut, they are magical. A cafe that is so worth visiting even though it is a little outside Nara Park.

Absolutely delicious beignets. Stumbled upon this restaurant while wandering the streets of Nara. The owner was so kind and patient. We got the olive oil and salt beignets as well as the coffee and cinnamon beignets—both were outstanding (and cheap!). Note: you must order a drink with your meal; the ginger soda was great and refreshing. What a gem of Nara!
